Talentica - Design System Website & Icons
About The Project
This project was an part of an initiative by the design team at Talentica Software to create a stand alone 'design website' which could give clients a better understanding of the process, methodologies, system and functioning of design and research at Talentica Software.
Since I was a member of the UX team at Talentica, I actively participated in bringing together and creating this website. My contributions included creating icons and illustrations for the website and creating the UI designs along with everyone in the team. It was fun and iterative project since it brought back a lot of conversations about process we had followed, the improvements we have made as a team and how to showcase ourselves for our potential clients.
Illustrating the Design Process at Talentica
Talentica incorporates user experience design activities into all stages of a startup life cycle. The illustration on the right is to demonstrate the flow and methodology of design at Talentica.
Stage 1: Collaborative Exercise
This stage is about collaborating with product owner, project manager, interaction designer, visual designer and development manager to figure out the business objectives, product vision and envision the end user's requirements.
Stage 2: Resource Allocation
At this point, the tasks are assigned to designers and researchers and estimates and deadlines are drawn to figuratively create a blueprint for the project timeline.
Stage 3: Brain Storming
This stage is about the problem statement is developed and analysed. User personas, task flows, information architecture and product configurations are debated and analysed.
Stage 4: Flow & Wireframe
Sketches, and wireframes are made along with mid-fi clickthroughs to understand the flow and structures of the product.
Stage 5: Visual Design
Colour palette, icons and typography is developed is developed at this stage.
Stage 6: Development
The standardised designs are created into style guides, HTML mock ups are developed and sent for user testing and reviews.
Icons
The following icons were created for the website. The soft focused, abstract and flat design language was maintained in the icon designs along with the illustrations.
